You've got a great perspective as both a creator and consumer, and while sometimes our tastes differ, your open-mindedness towards cinema and it's place in art has given me a lot of great ideas. Thank you so much! That this blog is giving you a springboard for new ideas in your career is the best compliment I could ever receive. It means I’m doing something right.

And I’m glad you pointed out that our tastes differ, because they’re supposed to. If everyone liked the same thing, then we’d have a world of problems and there would be little to no diversity of thought. I enjoy hearing people’s different opinions, because it opens up my view on things. What I write is definitely observation, and not law.

The intent of this blog has always been to be a forum on cinema, and not just a way to promote my own work. As you mentioned, it’s always been important for me to come from both the perspective of the creator and consumer. Creating films stems from my love of watching them, and I only made that step from audience to director because I had accumulated enough knowledge to make that leap. I hope this blog does that for my readers.
